A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, ' God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.' God led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. We are happy and thankful to the Sri Lankan government, their board and cricket team. As I write this post I know Srilanka will win the One Day Series by 2-1. Pakistan is on the verge of lossing when they are 74/9 trying to chase a target of 310. But being a cricket lover like millions of Pakistanis, I am happy that "cricket" won in this war against terror! So far the series is (Mashallah) very peaceful. BRAVO SRI LANKANS!

Could this vaccine cure all allergies?
A vaccine could help sufferers of all kinds of allergy. More than 300 patients are taking part in a trial of the jab which starts this month. The vaccine, made by Swiss company Cytos Biotechnology, contains a compound that 're-educates' the immune system so that it doesn't overreact, causing an allergic reaction.
Results from a small pilot study showed a hundredfold drop in sensitivity to grass pollen. Research suggests the benefits may last for months. 'It ... Read More

Gel saves cancer patients' hair
A new gel has been developed to prevent hair loss - and damage to the scalp - resulting from radiotherapy treatment for cancer. Current products marketed to prevent hair loss include ice-caps or packs. These, however, are not always effective. The gel, currently being tested by Mitos Pharmaceuticals, is based on a mixture of compounds, including antioxidants thought to help protect the healthy hair follicles from being destroyed by the treatment.
The gel is also being studied ... Read More

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama promised to improve U.S. ties with the Muslim world in his inauguration address on Tuesday, after tensions that followed the September 11 attacks and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
"To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect," said Obama, who became the first black president of the United States.
Obama, a practicing Christian, spent several years of his childhood in Indonesia, the most populous Muslim nation. ... Read More

Blast of sound seals wounds
This regular plaster is not as high-tech as the new form of wound dressing. A new, high-tech wound dressing can stop major bleeding in seconds. The dressing contains a tiny ultrasound device that first identifies the exact site of the bleeding and then treats the wound. Prompt closure of wounds is important to stem blood loss, but also to prevent infection.
The technology, known as the deep bleeder acoustic coagulation system, is intended initially for battlefield injuries, ... Read More

Lot of questions came to my mind after reading this article in hindustan times http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/StoryPage.aspx?sectionName=HomePage&id=6e16ba65-2bab-4dbe-80e1-c809b7e89ba3&&Headline=Explaining+away+terror
My "counter point" is that Mr. Vir Sanghvi very rightly pointed out that we should start talking about more urgent issues like Gaza attacks and carry on the investigations of Mumbai attacks along with it.
With so many movements being carried out in India no one can deny a complete absence of local elements in Mumbai blasts but yes why Muslims in Gaza, Palestine, Kashmir and in ... Read More

Always Say A Prayer!
by Lisa Engelhardt
There's work to do, deadlines to meet.
You have no time to spare.
But as you hurry and scurry...
Always Say A Prayer.
In the midst of family chaos,
"quality time" is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest.
Always Say A Prayer.
It may seem like your worries
are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather...
Always Say A Prayer.
God knows how stressful life can be,
and he wants to ease your cares.
He'll respond to all your needs...
Always Say A ... Read More
