Having moved here 10 years ago, I was pleasently surprised to see that how open and accepting a society Canada is, barely any racism and mostly egalitarian for all. Now when I tell people I am from Pakistan, I can tell exactly what they are thinking without actually saying the words. I am very proud of my heritage, of being a Pakistani and a muslim. Yet, I wish things were different. The west has all the qualities that a muslim nation should have had; and that is why they are where they are. I wonder when we will stop back stabbing each other, blowing each other up and stop spreading hate in each others hearts. There should be national campaign, not covering economics or education or better living....simply a camapign to make people value life. It is said this life is not a rehersal, we get it once.
