		<description>I am in the US and can tell you that - according to the American Heart Association - 1/3 of all Americans suffer from high blood pressure. As you noted, women in bad relationships seem to take it all more to heart and get more depressed about it than men.

As usual, publicity can make a difference. The men with heart disease here get all the media attention. We need to shine more light on the women facing illness due to a number of factors --- including a marriage filled with conflict.
