Chaay.Ahhhhh....just the sound of it is amazing. It brings along a mixture of emotions,a collection of memories and a revival of taste. So very Eastern, its sort of inculcated in us....the drinking of the delightful beverage we call tea.
Whether it be morning or evening, chaay, in innumerable households, holds a high significance.....one that cannot be diminished. And for each one of us it holds certain memories and specific meanings. For me,the word is synonymous with my mother, who, since i was very young, used to drink ... Read More

What is happening in Pakistan is really sad and I hope things will improve. I have this feeling that too much of media coverage or you may call it propaganda intensifies the whole situation. The law breakers and terrorist know whatever they do will be covered on the media and their message will travel to lengths they can never reach themselves. They are negatively using this information tool to their benefit.
Pick up any newspaper or switch to any TV channel ... Read More

Today I was chatting with a female colleague and while discussing pakistani men as husband and sons. We thought their behavior is rarely balanced. They are over sympathetic towards their moms or wives. Some of them leave their mothers, who gave birth to them and brought them up, for their wives. Others are following the instructions of their moms to be cruel and unkind to their wives.
I have this feeling that men of previous generations did not have this dilemma. ... Read More

Albert Einstein once said: "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, more violent. It takes a touch of a genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction." Our job as engineers is to find pragmatic, quick, applicable, reliable and economical solutions to problems. Here certainly counts that he who never tries always fails, while he who tries more often than not succeeds. A great deal of talent is lost for want of a little ... Read More

Praying for my beloved, Pakistan!
I am hearing and reading about what happened to Chand Bibi in Swat but thanks to my routine that I hardly see the TV. My words do not have the power to translate the intensity of my thoughts. Maybe I am being a coward and lack the courage to see it myself but even writing about it is really tough. How can "muslims" be so unkind to fellow human beings when they are taught to be ... Here is a very interesting idea for cooling in summers. As summers are coming with soaring temperatures, rising load shedding and unaffordable elctricity bills.
A novel method of air conditioning is taking root among some of the world's most powerful corporations, and it uses the simple power of ice.Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse now use massive ice blocks instead of traditional air-conditioning systems in some of their offices. Credit Suisse is considering expanding the system beyond its 1.9-million-square-foot Manhattan office to ... Read More

America's First Lady Michelle Obama broke royal protocol during a reception at Buckingham Palace when she placed her arm around the Queen. This never happened in last 57 years and no one could believe their eyes. I think when it comes to the first lady lady of America rules become flexible!
But rather than take offence, Her Majesty took the unusual step of returning the gesture by putting her arm round Mrs Obama's waist - almost as if to confirm the ... Read More

Don't smoke
Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is
comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
Don't eat fruits immediately
Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1 hr before meal.
Don't drink tea
Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to ... Read More

I know its unbelievable.....but true :)
People at pakspectator asked for my interview and I was shocked. I read hundreds of interviews but could not imagine giving one. Anyway once the shock was absorbed then I realized its a difficult task. At least more difficult than I thought. Kids exams passed, long march passed and I was unable to put my thoughts on paper. In the end I did make a lame effort.
Please read and comment( but not like one of ... Read More
