I read a very interesting interview in Guardian of a Guantanamo Guard who converted to Islam after only six months of this interaction with muslim detaniees.
Now called Mustafa Abdullah, he writes " While the guards indulged in alcohol, porn and sports, Holdbrooks says he needed to learn how the detainees could endure abuse and still smile, while he was utterly miserable."
He was looking of peace of mind and discipline in life which he hoped to get after entering Islam.

Ladies get ready to pay zakat (Purifying charity) on your jewels (assessories!!!). Abu Hanifah held that it is obligatory to pay zakat (zakah) on adornment if it has attained the conditions of reaching the threshold amount (nisab) of zakatable wealth and passing of a full Islamic lunar year, uninterrupted. (uninterrupted in the sense that at no point during that period does the amount of money drop to zero. However, if it drops below the Nisab without disappearing completely, the year ... Read More

If Prophet Muhammad (saw) Visited you?
I wonder……………………
If Prophet Muhammad visited youJust for a day or two,If he came unexpectedly,I wonder what you would do?Oh I know you would give your nicest room,To such an honored guest,And you would serve him your very best.
You would be the very best,Cause you’re glad to have him there,That serving him in your homeWould be a joy without compare.
But…when you see him coming,Would you meet him at the doorWith your arms outstretched in welcome,To your ... Read More

Today is 2nd Shabaan in Pakistan. Arrival of Shabaan brings excitment in the lives of muslims as the month of Ramadan is approaching. I have a few confusions in my mind regarding the things we have been doing for centuries in the middle of this month and I have included the opinions of various ulema like Mufti Taqi Usmani, Dr Farhat Hashmi and Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz. 1-Adhan
Muhammad Hassan!
Muhammad Hassan!
Come call Adhan,
And bring all the muslims to prayer.
Bring them from the factory,
Bring them from the school,
Bring them from their comfy beds,
And from their easy chair.
Call them in the morning,
Call them in the night,
Call everyone to Islam,
Call them to the light.
2-Three good boys (based on 'three blind mice')
Three good boys
Three good boys
See how they pray,
See how they pray,
They pray together in a very straight line,
And follow the Imam in perfect time;
They're three good boys.
Three good boys
Three good boys
See ... Read More
