In democratic and secular India a muslim does not even have the freedom to express his opinion in mere words! Even a man like Shahrukh Khan who has a muslim name only and has married a hindu lady and his way of life does not have a slight resemblance to a muslim. He has brought so much fame, wealth and goodwill to his country, India. He has been a true ambassador and a role model for Indians but ....when and ... Read More

A mobile phone for a giant or a mini laptop! Ipad is not out yet but the comments are pouring from all sides.
The device is half an inch thick, with 9.6 inch in display and weighs 1.5 lbs. I would just love to have 10 hours of battery life to continuously watch on my device.
Mr Jobs said:It's so much more intimate than a laptop and so much more capable than a smart phone. But who would want to replace it with ... Read More

I read a very interesting interview in Guardian of a Guantanamo Guard who converted to Islam after only six months of this interaction with muslim detaniees.
Now called Mustafa Abdullah, he writes " While the guards indulged in alcohol, porn and sports, Holdbrooks says he needed to learn how the detainees could endure abuse and still smile, while he was utterly miserable."
He was looking of peace of mind and discipline in life which he hoped to get after entering Islam.

The nation has heard plenty of debate over racial profiling. But there's a form of religious profiling that some young Muslim women in America say they endure whenever they voluntarily wear the hijab. The hijab, also known as the veil, is the headscarf worn by Muslim women around the globe. It's a simple piece of cloth, but it can place young Muslim women in Western countries in difficult situations.

The Iraqi journalist jailed after hurling his shoes at former President George W. Bush, will be released next month after his sentence was reduced for good behaviour.
Muntadhar al-Zeidi’s act during Bush’s last visit to Iraq as President turned the 30-year-old reporter into a folk hero across the Arab world, amid growing anger at the 2003 invasion. He did not use a weapon nor did he try to kill Mr Bush still he was sent to prison. He should get a ... Read More

Jaswant Singh writes in his book 'For, along with several other there is one central difficult that India, Pakistan, Bangladesh face: our 'past' has, in reality never gone into the 'past', it continues to reinvent itself, constantly becoming our 'present', thus preventing us from escaping the imprisonment of memories. To this we have to find an answer, who else can or will?'

Amazing...
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singh has called Pakistan's founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah "a great Indian", saying he was "demonised".
In an interview to CNN-IBN channel, the former external affairs minister blamed India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for the partition.
"Nehru believed in a highly centralised polity. That's what he wanted India to be. Jinnah wanted a federal polity. That even Gandhi accepted. Nehru didn't. Consistently, he stood in the way of a federal India until 1947 when it became ... Read More
