Pakistan-- A suicide bomber detonated at the home of a lawmaker in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province Monday, killing at least 10 people and wounding more than 30 others, a police spokesman said.
The target of the attack, national assembly member Rashid Akbar Nawani, sustained injuries to his legs, according to a spokesman for his party. MANCHESTER, England (AP) -- The strongest earthquake to hit Britain in more than two decades was felt across large parts of the country early Wednesday, officials said. Some homes had minor damage and one man was injured by a collapsing chimney.
The 5.3-magnitude quake struck at about 1 a.m. and was centered about 125 miles north of London, the British Geological Survey said.

US to blast satellite after space shuttle lands

16 February 2008 WASHINGTON - The United States will have the chance to shoot down a disabled US spy satellite from next Wednesday, after the space shuttle Atlantis ends its current mission, a US general said on Friday.

OIC warns of 'bigger conflict'
ISTANBUL (AFP) - The Organisation of the Islamic Conference denounced Friday the reprinting of a profane Danish cartoon of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), warning it could lead to confrontations between Muslims and Christians.
