My Visit to a Day Care

When I took a job, my greatest concern was choosing a daycare for my 2 year old. I never went to a day care so I wished to do a survey, as I am very particular about my baby’s safety. You can have an idea about my safety concerns that while driving, I always use a car seat. Me and my husband had spent a considerable time making our home child safe by fixing drawer locks, cord covers and a cardinal gate at the kitchen door.

Luckily, I found a nice daycare after a little research. I first met the staff of the facility then checked the adult-child ratio. Once i was satisfied by the qualification and personalities of the staff I inquired about their policies, timings and charges. Staff there was very nice and showed me around the whole facility. I was happy to see a shelf full of toddler books, because I always enjoy reading to my child who makes me repeat  “A very hungry caterpillar” book nearly every night!. They had a warm, clean and safe environment with lots of toys and safety precautions amply installed. Another plus was that this place was at a walking distance from my home where I can easily drop off my baby on his light weight stroller.

It was a tiring but worthwhile effort on my part and now I am happily sitting in my room sorting and selecting things to pack his baby bag with his favorite toy, extra pair of clothing and shoes. Its a wonder how time passes so quickly nowadays and it only seems like yesterday we were carrying the little devil in arms who is now going to be a school going toddler!
