I know its unbelievable…..but true
People at pakspectator asked for my interview and I was shocked. I read hundreds of interviews but could not imagine giving one. Anyway once the shock was absorbed then I realized its a difficult task. At least more difficult than I thought. Kids exams passed, long march passed and I was unable to put my thoughts on paper. In the end I did make a lame effort.
Please read and comment( but not like one of my readers who wrote maximum comments after the intervew!)
I am a mother of three adorable children and preference wise this is my first introduction. I have a master degree in economics and I am a teacher. I wish to live life with a purpose. I blog here.
Could you tell us what made you decide to blog, and what was the inspiration behind it?
My husband introduced me to this world of blogging and I cannot manage it without his help. There is no inspiration but I always had so much going on in my mind which needed an outlet.
What do you think sets Your blog apart from other blogs?
All of us are different in our way. Things that are closer to my heart and mean to me are what I write. I know my limitations and that is why I am thankful to all the people who visit my blog.
If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?
I am not being modest but it is too early for me to think that I am successful.
What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?
I can’t thank Allah Almighty enough for all He blessed me with. My kids’ carefree laughter, peaceful sleep and every step of their growing up makes me the happiest person.
Urdu Blogs have got huge potential, when do you think they will really take on the online horizon in Pakistan?
Urdu is a beautiful language. Urdu bloggers can do a remarkable service to urdu language and they should preserve the real urdu without mixing the hybrid version we speak these days. I believe it will work once people start doing it seriously but please don’t destroy urdu language.
If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for – what would your top 3 choices be?
Makkah, America and Spain.
What is your favorite meal, dress, and sport?
Chicken biryani and pizza.
I am a conservative person and I think clothes are meant to cover decently and completely.
I was a crazy cricket and tennis fan when I used to have free time.
Which are the top 3 places in Pakistan for honeymoon?
I love the sea and somewhere near water is the best place in my opinion.
What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?
Smile! And after a conversation I like people who are intelligent and easy going.
Whose Future is more bright in Pakistan; English blogs or Urdu Blogs?
English blogs have a greater reach. They are read and understood more.
How Pakistani bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?
I am yet to figure this out myself.
Do you think Pakistani bloggers tend to remain somewhat self-centered and really don’t go out of their shells? Is it the oriental style of blogging, or they are still unsure about it?
Our blogging reflects our thinking and we should not deliberately choose a style. I believe we should write anything which we believe in. If it comes from the heart then it definitely goes a long way.
What do you think where the Pakistani blogosphere is right now?
Pakistani blogosphere is growing but it is dependent on the growth of internet, education and awareness. I hope and pray for peace in Pakistan only than things can grow.
Who are your top five favourite bloggers in Pakistan?
I haven’t read much. I need to explore more. So far I found ultaseedha, crossroads, bigtugboat interesting.
Have you ever become stunned by the uniqueness of any blogger in Pakistani blogosphere?
Not yet because I need more time to explore.
What is the future of blogging in Pakistan?
Blogging has a bright future and it will definitely put the opinion of the Pakistani people in front of the world which our government often fails to do.
You have also got a blogging life, how has it directly affected both your personal and professional life?
This is a part of my very personal life. After putting my kids to sleep I have this recreational activity which I enjoy. This is how I relax and unwind myself. It makes me feel as if I am communicating with so many people out there. In this communication there are no faces, no gestures, no body language only thoughts travel.
Honestly speaking I have not really written much but I will inshallah.
What are your future plans?
I don’t plan much. I believe in the master plan of my Creator but I wish to be a good human being who can bring about a positive change in at least a few people’s lives.
Any Message you want to give to the readers of The Pakistani Spectator?
Please stop thinking about what others are doing, we have to do our part.
Pakistanis need to change their work attitude as soon as possible, for how long this “kaam chalao” approach will work. If you are doing something do it honestly and give it your 100% or don’t do it. These half hearted efforts will take us nowhere.

“Please read and comment( but not like one of my readers who wrote maximum comments after the intervew!)”
As Bernard Shaw correctly said:
When people ask for opinions(read comments) , all they want is praise
What i meant is we can debate on india/pakistan after a political post…maybe.
Do you really believe that readership of Pakspectator asked webmaster to interview you? i doubt that. most of the readers there dont know about your blog and the fact that why pakspectator has conducted your interview is to get a back link from your website which you’ve provided to her. This will help that blog to rank higher in the search engines sending more traffic from your blog as well as from search engines which she will convert into money through google ads. I dont know why people are so much excited about their interviews. One thing you must have noticed that there is no reciprocal link to your blog on hers blog, and if there’s it is in the links page where dozens of other links are present. this may cause you a ban penalty from google. If you think i’m lying then go and check her’s blog, you ll find this true. If someone needs a backlink then he/she should request for it. but telling fake stories and bluffing other webmasters is not a good habit which she has adopted for years. if you want to contact me, here’s my email. adnankhanmarwat at gmail.
Adnan, you may be right, but then again, blogging is a community effort. You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours. Pakspectator might not be sincerely crazy for their interviewees, but the interviews work to bring about more traffic and prominence for both.
Great interview though. Financial benefits take time, but effort and determination definitely pays off. Just keep at it.
Shukran
