Every child, Every time
Think of the agony of the parents and the misery of the child who is effected by polio. When I saw a few months girl child whose one leg is effected by polio , the innocence in her eyes brought tears to mine. She is not aware of her loss but we as responsible adults are ! We should make effort on our part, at least.
Government is trying to eradicate this viral disease by repeated campaigns. We had around six in last one year but the first three months of this year witnessed 9 new polio cases. As long as we have even one new case this means polio is present in Pakistan. National Polio Control Cell has a toll free number if your child has missed the vaccine. The number is 0800-76546 and their slogan is “every child, every time”. “har bacha, har baar”.
Some of the factors in hampering these efforts are effectiveness of the vaccine, its storage and distribution, poor sanitary and hygiene conditions, lack of awareness (people question why should we vaccinate our child after every two months! will it harm him in some way?), some parts of our beloved country are becoming more and more un approachable.
Government should ensure the effectiveness of the vaccine and make it possible for the polio teams to reach all parts of the country, only then we will have a polio free pakistan.

I enjoyed reading your work! GREAT post! I looked around for this… but I found you!
Anyway, would you mind if I threw up a backlink from my site to your site?
Great Website and excellent work.
Pumping the Pakistani population with polio viruses in the form of vaccines is not a good idea. We have no studies on whether this is going to raise the Specific Immunoglobulin A (commonly called Ig A),AGAINST the polio virus, or not.
Like in Swat and the Tribal Areas, we are following blindly the advice given by the “westerners” who dont have a clue about the local traditions, customs, norms, or on the scientific front, the genetic and immune make up of the people of Pakistan.
The National Institute of Health, who is pumping vaccines in Pakistan, is a total failure since it does not possess the required specialists in most of the fields.
I dread to think of the results down the road IF we find that we have overdosed our children. Don’t forget that the poliovirus affects the nerves.
Kindly change “Ig A” to Immunoglobulin A (commonly called Ig A),
and also please correct “Donmt” to “Don’t” in the 2nd last line.
Sorry

I am grateful for your expert advice….I often wonder why do we repeat the dose so frequently….Our experts should bring this issue to the government’s notice. I am alarmed by your fear that we may have over dosed our children, its like laying with the future of the nation…
The blind faith on libral values and institutes look taboo amid same blind running on paradigm found around, mass inoculation of polio vaccine must be carefully evaluated ,the cruel corportae lust of profit taking should not be ignored,in uk we still have Thalidomide awesome memories,
WHO is not a funding agency, she rely on her donors, click to be induced by….
In NSSM 200, Henry Kissinger stated that no single approach would “solve” the population problem. Multiple and seemingly unconnected approaches are also less likely to attract attention.
Dr. Archie Kalokerinos is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society for Health, a Fellow of the International Academy of Preventive Medicine, Fellow of the Australasian College of Biomedical Scientists, Fellow of the Hong Kong Medical Technology Association, and a Member of the New York Academy of Sciences. In 1978 he was awarded the A.M.M.(Australian Medal of Merit) for ‘outstanding scientific research’. On the subject of vaccines he comments:
My final conclusion after forty years or more in this business [medicine] is that the unofficial policy of the World Health Organization and the unoffical policy of the ‘Save the Children’s Fund’ and… [other vaccine promoting] organizations is one of murder and genocide… I cannot see any other possible explanation… You cannot immunize sick children, malnourished children, and expect to get away with it. You’ll kill far more children than would have died from natural infection.”It was similar with the measles vaccination. They went through Africa, South America and elsewhere, and vaccinated sick and starving children… They thought they were wiping out measles, but most of those susceptible to measles died from some other disease that they developed as a result of being vaccinated. The vaccination reduced their immune levels and acted like an infection. Many got septicaemia, gastro-enteritis, etc, or made their nutritional status worse and they died from malnutrition. So there were very few susceptible infants left alive to get measles. It’s one way to get good statistics, kill all those that are susceptible, which is what they literally did.
