This cartoon in News today reflects the true planning of our politicians for the future. Look at Pakistan today, with so much natural resources, human resources and a huge agricultural sector, we are asking for aid all the time. I am not talking about optimum utilization of these resources but mere utilization! Plan, not to show off budget and figures in the assembly this year only. Steps taken in the right direction today will take us to a brighter future.
Government fails to plan because not enough bright minds are in making their way to the think tank. And if they do plan then its their responsibility to explain their plan to the people and take them along. No success can be achieved by having good plans and poor implementation.
Two important points are planning and implementation but government should win the trust of the people to have their full cooperation.
In these times of too much information we, the people, are left in complete confusion. Media shares an equal responsibilty with the government to keep people in a positive state of mind. Media should give us news on the on-going war but please do give us “hope” too. There is a positive side of things going on in the country. DO SHOW THAT. If the nation will lose their battle mentally then it will be impossible to win the war. We have enough of negative propaganda in the international media so our local channels have a huge task of keeping us updated and keeping our spirits high too….
