I was not following the long march until now because i am annoyed. There was long march by opposition on one hand and the resistance by the government on the other hand. This all resulted in postponement of exams!

Now my kids have given half the papers and there is no certainty when the rest of the papers will take place. We cannot enjoy and cannot make children study all the time. You know for the moms of young children its more of mother’s exams than the kids.

I fail to figure out the motivation and the driving force behind the protesters. When the earlier long march resulted in a disappointment. Do they really think our rulers will bow out to the pressure? The rulers are surely scared otherwise why can’t they let the people protest in a peaceful way. They have mobilized all the law enforcing agencies to stop the protest which is resulting in the conflict. Leaders like Imran Khan, Aitazaz Ehsan, Sharif brothers are put under house arrest so we will not have a “peaceful” protest and the whole nation comes to a stand still ….no schools, no weddings, no shopping, no work! and for what????

Whole of the world have their eyes glued on Pakistan as they love to make statements about us. Its like “Pakistan” is the adopted baby of US and the developed world and they consider it their right to meddle in our personal affairs. We better control our lives ourselves. I am very sad to say that politicians have disappointed people of Pakistan yet again.

Nawaz Sharif is equally responsible for the mess because he didn’t ask us before being Zardari’s best friend(which no sane man can be!!) so he should not have come crying “he betrayed me” and asked the people to disrupt their lives and protest for Nawaz when we are already fighting for our survival in these tough economic times.

In spite of all this, the amazing part is that the people of Lahore are still celebrating “basant” which had sadly took 7 innocent lives so far!

Is it worth the fun? Are these the priorities of a nation?
