Mausummery lawn
Girls and ladies get ready for the Mausummery Lawn Exhibition in Islamabad. Their lawn is very comfortable with fast colours. You should at least have one mausummery in your summer wardbrobe. I do not think they have the best prints but quality of lawn is very good. This summer I loved Gul Ahmed Collection 2009 , their prints are excellent and do not miss Sobia Nazir…
I remember last year at Mausummery Exhibition a small room in Sarena Hotel Islamabad was jam packed with ladies of all ages from young girls to aunties. This time the venue is shifted back to Marriott Hotel Islamabad. Does the word “Marriott” ring a bell? I will inshallah gather all hope and recite Ayat Al Kursi before leaving to buy a lawn suit . I wonder why these ladies love to buy so many clothes. Although I am determined to goto Marriott but I wish they had an outlet in Islamabad.
Exhibition begins on 19th April 2009-Sunday and now let me share a little information which may help you to decide how much cash you may need…
3 Piece Lawn Dupatta Suit Rs 1050/-
- 2 piece (lawn duppatta n shirt) Rs 7oo/-
- Chiffon dupatta 3 piece suit Rs 1400/- to 1600/-
There is a white shalwar piece with with black embroidery on it selling for 1100/-
I wish I was in Pkland, to buy some nice lawn prints… but it’s not possible, alas !!!

I have seen the new Gul Ahmad collection and its very nice.. also Sana Safinaz’s not bad.. but def over priced, I think…

I found out from a friend that Mausummery shop is in mini market, Gulberg, Lahore.
Just came back from the exhibition. The prints are good and the price is fine but the event was poorly managed. There was too little room for so many ladies (and some gents. It was hard to browse and harder to get the attention of the salesmen. Many customers left seeing the overcrowded mess in the room.
It was the worst at the counter. Two guys were billing and it was simply not enough. They were over worked and in the midst of a rather excited and unruly crowd…so they were a bit rude, which is not what one expects when one goes to shop at an exhibition at Marriot.
They should plan it better since they obviously know that they are going to get these many people.
Unless of course they care only about making money.
I also visited the Yashir Waheed exhibition a few days back and I think it was slightly better organized since they at least had the suits cut and packed in bags, didnt have to cut them from rolls of cloth, their display was also better. The variety was limited but the prints were great. Price also very very reasonable.
I missed the Yasir Waheed sale but mausummery was surely not managed well. Incompetent and lazy sales men is inmy opinion the major cause….

now the exhibition is over, my comment may not be very useful. The out let in Lahore is on the right side while going to mini market but it is short of it. if you happen to be a lady wearing 40 plus length and full sleeves, or even 46 with half sleeves buy extra cloth as the borders on the sides make the cloth less for the shirt. generally 3 m is suitable for a shirt .

hi.. i went to exhibition today in marriot hotel Islamabad…i was expecting a huge crowd but fortunately it was not that busy and much organized this time.. its from 3rd till 5th in marriot Islamabad.. and 5th and 7th in pc hotel Rawalpindi…mid summer prints are really cool bit over priced this time with embrodered pattis.. but its worth it…

This mausummery lawn stuff is no more as good as it used to be before ….. exhibition is on at marriott 5-7 april 2011 …… i like yahsir waheed stuff …… but they are god knows when planning to lauch an exhibition here
