Mausummery Sale
Everyone was eagerly waiting for the end of season Mausummery sale and was excited to see the banners splashed all over Islamabad today morning. It was sooner then expected. I know it has become a crowd pulling trend to write “upto 50% discount” but after last year’s “real” sale we decided to check this out.
A common citizen like me normally tries to avoid the security checks one has to face at Marriott. But after bearing with the barriers, hurdles, sniffing dogs and machine screening we walked a long way past those huge gates to reach the real Marriott building. Anyway, lets talk about the exhibition.
Those of you are planning to visit the sale in next two days (4th ans 5th July 2010) I would like to tell you there are a few new prints only. Rest are the left overs of the previous exhibition. I like the new ones but what puts you off is that there is nothing like sale. A few prints of dopattas are at 50% and this is termed as sale. Price for the new ones is still in the range of Rs 1100(plus) to Rs 2200( this includes patches of embroidery and prints) which is a little less then original price.
I have seen true Mausummery fans coming out with hands full but the rest were a little disappointed.
I agree.. they must change the venue…one really does nt feel like going to high security alert places..and also you must check the stuff u buy before leaving the venue as one of my lawn suit was without the embroidered patti so had to go all the way back and collect it.. it was really annoying..but no doubt mid summer collection is very classy though the choice is not much..i really like their design philosophy as its different than the floral prints which are frequntly available in market… after sana and safinaz.. mausammery is the best option in summer!!
You are right …i always loved their designs and fabric too. The “sale” tag irritated me otherwise i would love to go on a mid summer mausummery exhibition..
IN KARACHI ALSO THE SALE WAS COMPLETELY A DISAPPOINTMENT.
VERY VERY POOR MANAGEMENT AND LACK OF SALE FABRIC.
i want this suit as shown in the above picture…how can i get it this suit in karachi..!if they can deliver this suit..so plz tell me the number……..?
