Six foreign investors to establish Wind Power Plants in Sindh

ISLAMABAD: The Federal government has issued power generation licenses to six foreign investors for establishing Wind Power Plants in the coastal areas of Sindh.

A spokesman of Pakistan Alternate Energy Development Board told media that under the plan, wind power plants having a capacity of 700 megawatts would be established in Charo and Keti Bandar by 2010.

Ninety-three private investors have shown interest in establishing small wind power plants with a total capacity of 4650 megawatt in the area.
