There are situations in life when two people get upset with each other and emotions are running high. Both of them think we never want to get back together and we are better off without each other. But after some time when temperatures have come down and all the dust settled, like our vision becomes clear after a thunder storm when we have a clear and bright day!
At this point no hurt and negative feeling are left but “ego” stands in the way. You know at times years or for some people whole life passes away….what a waste! Please if you want to say something, say it now. Say it yourself, do not wait for the other person.
If you know urdu ”Samjhota” is a beautiful poem. Its title is “samjhota” which in actual translation means “compromise” but here the compromise is not between the two people but between a person and his/her ego.
Samjhota
Khush-haal se tum bhi lagtey ho
Yun afsurda to hum bhi nahi
Per jan-ney waley jan-tey hain
khush hum bhi nahi, khush tum bhi nahi
Tum apni khuddi ke pehrey main
Aur dam-e-gharoor main jakrey huey
Hum apney zu’am ke nerghey main
Ana haath hamerey pakrey huey
Ek mudda-dat se ghalta’an paicha’an
Tum rabt-o-guraiz ke dharoun main
Hum apney app se uljhey huey
Pichtaway ke angaroun main
Mehsoor-e-talatum aaj bhi ho!
Go tum ne kinarrey dhoondh liye
Toofan se sambh-ley hum bhi nahi
Kehney ko saharey dhoondh liye
Khamosh se tum, hum muhr-ba-labb
Jag beet gaye, tuk baat kiye
Suno! khel adhoora chortey hain
bina chal challey,bina maat kiye
Jo bhagtey bhagtey thak jayein
Woh saayey ruk bhi saktey hain
Chalo toro qasm, iqrar karein
Hum dono jhukk bhi saktey ha
