Wake up Pakistanis who love to go to India and watch their movies and channels like Geo who waste our weekends by showing some Indian show every weekend night!
Mr Vir Sanghvi writes in Hindustan Times that India should put no faith in the so-called brotherliness of the Pakistani masses, distrust every civilian politician. According to him a weaker Pakistan is in best interest of the Indians!
(I have written the parts of his artical in bold and my counterpoint in simple text.)
“My own view is that the “strong and stable Pakistan is in India’s best interests” proposition has failed. Over the last several years, we have done everything we can to help Pakistan. We have hosted General Musharraf, we have offered talks on Kashmir, we have supported civilian politicians and welcomed Asif Zardari with open arms. We have tried our hardest to understand the mindset of civil society, with a steady stream of Pakistani intellectuals arriving in India, and, each evening, our channels offer endless TV time to Pakistanis to tell us what their country’s position is.”
“Here’s what this policy has got us: General Musharraf is still blatantly hostile to India as his last rant at the India Today Conclave demonstrated”. Mr Vir, what is wrong if Musharraf is hostile in his views towards India because you have so many like Takcharey and Advani who likes to openly threaten Pakistan.
“Asif Zardari has refused to help in the investigation of the Bombay attacks.” Zardari never refused to help infact he caught and is still chasing and investigating the suspects of Mumbai attacks. Why do you call Mumbai, Bombay? 
Terrorists continue to be sent across the border to foment trouble in India. Please protect and seal your borders because if you will keep the doors open then others can enter. Do not put your responsibity on our shoulders!
“Far from following a liberal policy, the new civilian government has done deals with the Taliban and imposed the medieval Sharia law in parts of Pakistan.” We never comaplained when BJP came in power which is the largest terrorist party in the world. BJP question even the exsistence of Pakistan and for your information Swat always had a nizam-e-adl. Goverment signed a deal to have “peace”.
“All opinion polls suggest that the average Pakistani hates India, loves Osama bin Laden and believes that 9/11 was a Jewish plot to malign global Islam. Worse still, the evidence suggests that if you push the Pakistani masses about their true identity they would pick Muslim over Pakistani. Do you have to be a genius to see that the good neighbour policy has been an utter and complete disaster?” Mr Vir Sanghvi if the above poll has bothered you so much that you want to change your foreign policy based on this then a similar opinion poll will bring the same result for the people in Saudi Arabia and UAE too. Please revise your foreign policy with them too…what if they are rich and have huge businesses with INDIA!
“We should tell the US that we are tired of this policy of equivalence. When America attacked Afghanistan, we did not treat the US and Afghanistan as moral equals. Similarly, America should stop treating India and Pakistan on the same plane. One of us is the world’s largest democracy. And the other is a terrorist state.” Just to be America’s best friend you do not have to paint Pakistan as a villian! World’s largest democracy should do one thing, protect your boundries and stop this drama of infiltration. Stop giving Pakistanis visit visas…you live in your house and don’t take our pains to your heart.
“The time for lighting candles at the Wagah border has long since passed.” If an independent investigation is done to find who is financing all these terror attacks in Pakistan and who is training these suiside bombers who are killing innocent Pakistnis then I am sure no one in Pakistan will also like to light the candles of peace on the other side of Wahga too.

We have always had strained relations with India…such statements are not new..it is very much expected behaviour from their side..thnx for your wake up call but most of us are alert..so don’t worry…as far as watching Geo is concerned i think it has done and is doing many good things too…so i don’t think it shouldn’t be watched..but if there are certain programmes which promote a culture or a nation that hates us then no big deal!just take the remote and change the channel…
This is our misconception that people of India and Pakistan could love each other and they can eat on one table. Extremism and hindu-muslim discrimination started in sub-continent with the arrival of East India company. Hindus as well as Muslims of this subcontinent have developed this sense in 19th century. The feeling which is almost 150 years old cannot be eliminated in just one day. We openly say that india is our biggest enemy and Allah has granted us “The most Begherat” neighbor. I personally think that one day, This subcontinent will again be ruled by muslims and there’ll be no India in near future. We should not feel shy in declairing and announcing it loud that India is our enemy and we will keep sending terrorists there as they keep sending terrorists to Pakistan, and We will resolve all the problems by force. I hate our politicians just because of their polite and defensive language. ( All of them because they’re corrupt and a corrupt person is always a coward)

As adnan has said the enemity between two communities started by British 200 years back is continuing with further oil from Saudi arabia and America who are interested in this enemity growing and festering.
Now after independence India took to a constitution which is secular that even during BJP’s rule could not do anything to its basic secular character.
But unfortunately your nation came out of the vision of your founding father and adopted wahabism as propounded by Saudi arabia that even today it doesnot recognise Ahmediyas as Muslims what to talk of other minorities.
As long as your nation takes dollars from America and say you are independent nation and must be equated with India, we in India laugh.Stop taking those dollars and see the result.
You are right about us, Pakistanis, losing the vision of our founding father and in turn we are facing the current unstable situations. But talking about SECULAR India makes me laugh too as the treatment of Sikhs, Kashmiris and even Christians by extremist Hindus speaks volumes about the so called secularism in India.
I do not endorse the opinion of Adnan as killing of innocent people at any place for any reason is not allowed by Islam; the religion of global brotherhood and peace. Islam preaches us tolerance and defines clearly the rights and responsibilities of people from all races, cultures and beliefs. Above all, Islam strongly advocates on keeping a BALANCED approach in all matters of everyday life.
It is very unfortunate that today the Muslims have forgotten the basic teachings of Islam and are resorting to extreme measures in overcoming their own short comings. The other post on this blog ‘Knowledge is Power’ is an excellent example of what the Muslim world should do in order to rectify the current problems.
I’m not talking about the killing of innocent people but dont’ expect someone to throw flowers to you in response to your stones. The only people with Indians is that they’re too cunning and they’re very much over confident. If you read their history, you ll notice that they only speak when they’re backed by someone. We ruled them for 950 years and they didnt even say a single word. but when they were backed by East India Company and brrittish empire then they started creating problems for Muslims. Captain Sahab, not recognizing Ahmedis is our internal problem and interfering in our internal problems is the old habit of Indians. Stop behaving like this and prove urself to be a good neighbor. A neighbor who is worth loving and respect. I say why dont you openly fight instead of stabbing us from behind??????

@Adnan – you are beyond redemption. You live in a failed state that is imploding. Stay focused on your internal issues and live in the belief that you will rule the sub-continent.
May you wake up one day to find yourself blown by one of your weirdos who got his brain scrubbed, strapped a bunch of crackers round his waist and set off to the market to shop for bodies.
Stop worrying about India – not in your lifetime can you ever hope to meet our economic might. Just pray that you don’t end up like Afghanistan…that seems a likely possibility.
