Crash on margallas
This breath taking view of Margalla Hills shows how the recent rains brought relief and happiness to the Isloo people till today morning. When a commercial plane (Air Blue Airbus flight A-321) crashed with 159 people on board. Yesterday’s beautiful scene is filled with horror and sorrow today. It is still raining… the scene is the same, same clouds covering the top of hills, same streets, same green patches. Every spot in Islamabad is a perfect screenshot for the nature lovers. But the smoke rising from the crashed plane has ended lives of more than 100 people travelling from Karachi to Islamabad and the same lovely weather is termed to be the reason behind this tragic incidence.

Yesterday night at 10 pm I heard a plane pass over our houses and it was a really “low” flight. We thought, God forbid, it may fall over our heads but fortunately that plane survived. Todays flight was not so lucky and I hope and pray that the rescue workers find more survivors. These hills are normally no-fly zone and planes rarely venture here even in good weather. Why was this plane so close to the Margallas and that too in such bad weather and fog?
The road I heard is closed for public today and I wish we should cooperate with the authorities and not go there. Unwanted crowds will only delay the operations.Lets pray for the departed souls,May Allah shower his blessings on them.
As a youngster I used to travel to Pakistan every year. I know when we are a few minutes away from landing all fears are gone and everybody is ready to fulfill their plans. There were 159 humanbeings, 159 stories and 159 families effected!

Margalla hills after crash
Ishtiaq Ahmed an eye witness says ” At about 9.50am I was sitting in porch of house sighting clouds and drizzling, suddenly saw a plane flying very low almost touching Margallah Hills and soon after 15 seconds heard a massive explosion!” I am sharing a picture here which is taken by Ishtiaq Ahmed after the explosion.
Latest update on 28 july 2010 at 1:30 pm is that 12 people who had confirm seats did not travel in this Airblue plane which crashed on the Margalla Hills. At this time there are 7 survivors and 20 dead bodies are recovered and search is going on.
Later Mr Rehman Malik announced that sadly there are no survivors. Ina lillahe wa ina ella-ye he rajaoun
