Karan Thapar describes Musharraf's personality in the light of his encounter with an Indian audience. Some of Mr. Thapar's observations are very interesting. I was forced to agree with him in spite of the fact that I was never a Musharraf supporter. He writes...
"I have to admit, I’ve never come across someone like Pervez Musharraf. This is not necessarily a compliment. It’s simply a statement of fact. But think about it — he’s a former dictator who revels in free ... Read More

Gunmen attacked Sri Lanka’s cricket team in a gun and grenade assault on Tuesday in the Pakistani city of Lahore that killed eight people and wounded seven members of the squad.
What has happened to the world we live in? Is there an end to this maddness? The situation in the world in general and in Pakistan in particular is getting worse everyday. These are the streets we walk in, the roads we drive on with our kids but nothing seems ... Read More

Lot of questions came to my mind after reading this article in hindustan times http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/StoryPage.aspx?sectionName=HomePage&id=6e16ba65-2bab-4dbe-80e1-c809b7e89ba3&&Headline=Explaining+away+terror
My "counter point" is that Mr. Vir Sanghvi very rightly pointed out that we should start talking about more urgent issues like Gaza attacks and carry on the investigations of Mumbai attacks along with it.
With so many movements being carried out in India no one can deny a complete absence of local elements in Mumbai blasts but yes why Muslims in Gaza, Palestine, Kashmir and in ... Read More

People of India and Pakistan suffer by losing their dear ones in terrorist attacks like the one which took place in Mumbai. As a result bilateral ties between the two countries have suffered. Any event of the sort leaves India and Pakistan back to where they started from, enemies!. All talks about common roots, friendship, people to people contacts, etc evaporates quickly. Governments jump to decisions like not even playing cricket with each other. Today India has officially cancelled the tour to ... Read More

Before I begin this rant, I must out-rightly condemn all terrorism activities, be it from a ruthless terrorist in India or even in Pakistan wherever there is loss of life it must be condemned regardless of who is suffering The Mumbai attacks were shocking for everyone, for the three days the killers were on rampage killing over 200 innocent lives everyone specially in India was shaken to the ... Loss of so many human lives is very sad. But the terror such events create in the hearts of all the people of the world and especially to us living in this region is unimaginable. How do these people , so called terrorists, become so organized and powerful that they take a big city like Mumbai hostage ...the same thing happened after the death of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan. Life crippled not only in Karachi but else where too when these terrorists were ... Read More
