In democratic and secular India a muslim does not even have the freedom to express his opinion in mere words! Even a man like Shahrukh Khan who has a muslim name only and  has married a hindu lady and his way of life does not have a slight resemblance to a muslim. He has brought so much fame, wealth and goodwill to his country, India. He has been a true ambassador and a role model for Indians but ….when and if he says something which no matter how just but has a slight a inclination towards Pakistan….his sincerety is questioned!!!

I was shocked to read what Bal Thakarey has to say about Shahrukh after Shahrukh’s comments about not including Pakistani players in IPL. It shows how much hatred and negativity this extremist hindu party has. I remember they expelled Jaswant Singh on writing about Mohammad Ali Jinnah. But read below and have a laugh…. (in todays sensible and educated times…)

Shahrukh Deserves Nishaan-e-Pakistan: Bal Thacheray

“Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Saturday said Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan deserves Pakistan’s highest civilian award, the Nishaan-E-Pakistan, for supporting the inclusion of Pakistani cricketers in the IPL.

In a scathing editorial in Saturday’s party mouthpiece Saamna, Thackeray said that the “Khan” inside Shah Rukh Khan must be crushed by the “Har Har Mahadev” war cry of the “Shivaji” inside the Hindus.

This was an oblique reference to Chhatrapati Shivaji’s killing of Bijapur general Afzal Khan, sent by Sultan Adil Shah II of Bijapur in 1659, at Pratapgad in Satara district of western Maharashtra.

The Shiv Sena hit out at Shah Rukh Khan, also the Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner, after he said he would have picked a Pakistani player for the Indian Premier League matches if his team had a slot.

IPL franchise owners did not bid for Pakistani players during the auction for the IPL III, which has snowballed into a major spat between the two countries.

The editorial said that if “Shah Rukh wants to give a red carpet treatment to Pakistani cricketers on the blood of innocent Indians slain by Pakistani terrorists from Kashmir to Mumbai”, then, Thackeray warned, the Shiv Sena will never permit it.

It pointed out that by supporting the cause of Pakistani players, Shah Rukh has insulted the memory of the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks – for which Pakistan may confer the Nishaan-E-Pakistan – but Indians will spit on him.

The editorial further noted that nobody from the Congress has raised a voice against Shah Rukh since he is considered close to Sonia Gandhi.

Thackeray wrote in his article that “since SRK has so much love for the Pakistanis the Bollywood actor could appoint 26/11 terror accused Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab as the captain of his Kolkata Knight Riders team and Mohammed Afzal Guru (facing death penalty for the 2001 attack on parliament) as the vice captain in the forthcoming IPL match”

BUT todays love is more practical, a female fan gifts “a piece of land on moon” to Shahrukh Khan on his birthday every year!!! Poora chaand na sahi a few acres of land on moon!

Believe it or not, but a crazy Australian fan gifts Shah Rukh Khan a piece of the moon every year on his birthday.

SRK confirms to a daily, “Yes, an Australian lady buys a little land on the moon for me every year on my birthday. She has been buying it for a while now and I get these certificates from the Lunar Republic Society.”

SRK adds that he has met his fan and she keeps in touch with him all year through mails, “She writes me colourful emails (in the sense one line is red, one is blue and so on). I feel blessed to have the love of so many people worldwide.”

According to one online lunar real estate agency, http://www.lunarregistry.com/, the Sea of Tranquility is the most sought-after address on the moon. 1 acre (approximately 43,560 sq ft, or 4,047 sq mtrs) costs US $37.50 (Rs 1758.75) and the actor owns several acres there. An ownership package includes a beautifully engraved parchment deed, a satellite photograph of the property and an information sheet detailing the geography of your region. You are allowed to purchase up to 40 acres per transaction. The proceeds from the purchase of the plot on the moon, go toward the Lunar Republic Society’s programme for privatised human-based exploration, settlement and development of the Moon.

Now while there are many websites on the internet (based in the US, UK and Russia) that allows you to buy land on the moon, it doesn’t mean you can charge NASA or other space agencies for trespassing when they land on your property.

Property ownership is permanently registered by the International Lunar Lands Registry in its annual publication, which is copyrighted and deposited in the United States Library of Congress and with international patent and trademark offices, including the United Kingdom (UK Patent Office), Japan (Japan Copyright Office), Russia (Rospatent) and with the United Nations (UN Depository Library), in compliance with the Berne Convention.

This is not the first time Shahrukh Khan was travelling to USA. Then why was he detained for having “Khan” in his name? Is he the only khan travelling to USA? Who are they looking for? or for that matter what are they looking for? If someone has a pashtun or a muslim sirname and has nothing objectionable is his possession then why harrass him? We Asians have such wonderful general knowledge that we are familiar with the names of west’s celebrities, cities and politians but they like to confuse even the names of our countries!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was detained for two hours at a US airport after American immigration officials spotted the ‘Khan’ in his name, his aide said. The incident happened as the hugely popular actor, whose fans number millions in India and abroad, was on his way to Chicago to attend an event related to India’s Independence Day.

“He was detained because his surname is Khan. He was kept until officials from the Indian embassy intervened. Now he has been released,” Niloufer Qureshi, Shah Rukh’s manager, told IANS over telephone from Mumbai.

The Indian government and entertainment industry reacted furiously after the 43-year-old actor, named by Newsweek last year as one of the world’s 50 most powerful men, revealed how he was detained and stopped from even using his mobile telephone.

Speaking to CNN-IBN channel on telephone from the US, Shah Rukh appeared to shrug off the embarrassing episode saying he had suffered similar treatment previously too.

He said it was ironic that the incident happened on the eve of Aug 15 — when freedom is celebrated by Indians. ’I personally feel it is over and done,’ he said, sounding conciliatory. Asked if he felt like reacting in a similar way, he replied: ‘If they want I can frisk Angelina Jolie when she is here (India).’

Undoubtedly one of Bollywood’s biggest and most highly paid stars, Shah Rukh has acted in nearly 70 films in a career spanning 17 years.

Other Bollywood stars like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan too are set to attend the event.

CELEB DETAINEES…

Irrfan Khan was stopped for questioning not once but twice. The first time at Los Angeles airport. He was there to receive an Independent Spirit Award for The Namesake. The actor claims he was detained because he is a Muslim.

Neil Nitin Mukesh were also detained in a similar fashion but at New York airport, where he was scheduled to shoot for Yashraj film New York. Immigration Authorities allegedly stopped Neil because they couldn’t believe he was from India.
