India's Tata group has abandoned plans to build the world's cheapest car in the eastern state of West Bengal.

MANCHESTER, England (AP) -- The strongest earthquake to hit Britain in more than two decades was felt across large parts of the country early Wednesday, officials said. Some homes had minor damage and one man was injured by a collapsing chimney.
The 5.3-magnitude quake struck at about 1 a.m. and was centered about 125 miles north of London, the British Geological Survey said.
